Have not messed with any of the pots. The only thing I've touched is the green focus on the system board(?).

I believe you mean on the deflection board. Do you know which board is the deflection board?

Can you post a pic of the green tube face(lens off) with a cross hair pattern at the resolution your using, along with some more room light so I can see the whole tube face along with the pattern?

I went back to my blu ray player since it was already set up. This is 1080i > hdmi > hdfury2 > rgb.

My cable box looked just about the same at 480i and 720p. Can you see that very faint white line in the green bar? That's about how much of the picture I am missing.

Try it with a PC, running standard timings (1024x768 for instance).

Why do you not have a full screen? Also it looks like the phase is off. you should be able to move that grid over with phase.

The previous owner had it set up for 16:9. I don't know how to get it back to full screen. I move the grid over but it disappears into the green bar

I'm not sure what you are missing. Post a pic with something from a regular input. If you have something like a DVE dvd, put up a test pattern from that.

edit: I looked an saw the original pic on the post. Post a pic of what the tube looks like when you try to move the image to center position.

Wallace, the image is missing on the right side. It's getting cut off for some reason. I can shift the image left and right and see that it's all there it just won't show up in the right hand edge.

The image is in the center position....

Are you moving it with phase adjustment or position adjustment?

So your saying if you neutral the position setting and adjust the phase, the grid moves back and forth but disappears into the raster strip? Just using phase?

Try moving the blanking in on the side with the wide raster and see what happens.

oh geez, what a moron I am. As many times as I adjusted the blanking I don't guess I ever used the cntrl key to get the side blanking. I thought I had hit the cntrl key for every adj., but I guess I didn't on that one. Can't thank you enough guys for all the suggestions. Sorry for my error. UGH. Thanks mac, your suggestion made me think about it.

ROTFLOL! Been there, done that!

But, good feeling to find out it was a "co-pilot" problem and not a pj problem.

Follow Curt's set-up guide http://www.curtpalme.com/NECPG_MechSetup1.shtm and you can't go wrong.

For me, I always go thru the entire set-up 2-3 times. Every time it gets better.

The final (fine tuning) comes from a professional calibrator to get color and blacks perfect. (I'm still trying to figure that out. Embarassed )
