|
|
I just finished converting my vertical 1209s to a horizontal machine. I had to cut one end of the bellows lose and rotate it 90° to do so. I was very nervous about doing so, but did so put back together and no leaks. The problem I'm having is I can't get to source 1 or 2. In the manual you go to the random setup and look for svideo option, but can't find it. I have hit the 1 key and the 2 key but nothing. I know this is a simple issue, so go easy on me.
Thanks
Steve

My 1209s has no source 1 or 2. The buttons are there but it does not accept those signals.

Yes this is correct. When I bought it 3 or 4 years ago, I'm pretty sure that it played through these ports.

Simulation models and Rungos probably don't have decoder board for video and s-video installed, because those aren't needed and cost something. I have stripped it from my Barco to make cooling better and it also save few mA.
Check if there is decoder daughter board installed behind switching board.

Umm... The question that comes to my mind is, why would you want to use s-video or composite, anyway?

After checking I have realized it does not have the quad board.

As far as the manual, don't worry about that part. Input a source of the resolution you intent to use on the port you intend to use, then just do set up from the genlocked pattern. Even better is to do set up from a source generated pattern if possible (for instance, HDNet broadcasts patterns for cable/sat source set up, and their are HD calibration discs).

If using a computer with a daul head card what kind of settings would I use? It's not a high end card. I'm just doing some initial test.
