Hi!
Thanks for the replies!
When I made that statement, I knew much less about the way a projector works, and what I was really remarking on was the fact that, when the warm-up full-white screen came on, there seemed to be an equal bit of "pure red" and "pure blue" each tilting up beyond the top corners of the white part. I did not know enough at that time to bring up the crosshair test pattern and to check that way. So I don't know how big the change from then to now really might be...
Since I posted that message, yes, I have taken the lens housings off, in order to look directly at the tube faces as I set the rasters, and also so that I could clean the lenses. I haven't touched the actual tubes though.
When I reattached the lens housings, I made certain to put the lens spacers in the right spot, and that I put the right lenses over the same tubes they were originally on. I tightened the screws each until they felt tight enough but not too tight.
The only difference that I can think of off-hand was that the blue lens spacer was, when I first opened the case, upside-down. I turned it rightside-up.
I guess I could turn it upside-down again
Okay, thanks, bye!
