I just ran across MUX-HD. I am using a PS3 with a non-HDCP device (HDMI to HD SDI coverter) in the chain. I assumed that if I played unprotected content on the Ps3, HDCP would be off. But I dont seem to be able to get that to work. Somebody told me the PS3 HDMI transmitter has HDCP on. independent of the content. Do you know if this is true?

It looks like MUXHD will work for me. I can connect the PS3 to the HDMI in and use the DVI out to monitor the source (will this work with an HDCP enabled DVI port on my PC monitor?) and use the HDMI out to drive my non-compliant converter.
Will this work? Thanks

I could have sworn that HDCP is always enabled on most (all) sources these days all the time.

Yes. Assuming that the monitor can display the resolution you're feeding it. (Not all monitors support 1280x720 [720p] or 1920x1080 [1080p]).

Yup. Both the HDMI and DVI outputs are active at the same time.

That should work provided your monitor will display one of the signals coming out of the PS3, 720p, 1080i or 1080p properly.

I'm not sure whether or not the HDMI output of the PS3 will switch off HDCP. I would think not but again I'm not sure.
