So, finally, hooking up the Barco Graphics 500 again! Special thanks to Curt for carrying the VGA->RGBHV cable we needed - they seem hard to find around here - and the one we managed to find was crap.
One thing I found that really helped us with this endeavor was a place that sells screen material pretty cheap. We are building a 17'x12.75' (4:3) screen. Purchased two sets of screen fabric from them and are having a local seamstress sew them together (and sew the outside "ribbing" on to mount it from). I can post a link to their site if it is permitted.
Anyway, we're gonna try the "cheap and easy" route for a screen frame first - 3" PVC frame with runners to hold the screen. Will let you all know how it works.
The BG500 will soon be retired and replaced with a BG800 (this week probably - but now that we've gotten the BG500 fired up and it seems to be working, it's kinda hard to NOT play with it even though it will only be for a few days).
Thanks to everyone for all the info, links and tips on this site and forums! You guys rock!
Rob

So, I am guessing the screen size shouldnt be an issue - it's under the size limit for both projectors with the standard lenses... though I am curious what the difference between the standard BD/BG500 lense and the BG500 with the Noritar14x lense is.
Any ideas? From searches online, it's almost like those lenses never existed... Will they fit the BG800? And is it worth changing the original lenses if they do?

TbX: Thanks!
Sadly, I think that means they will be unused for a while until I pull the 500 apart and thoroughly clean it. We decided to take the top cover off to dust out the machine since it was sitting in storage for so long. Turns out that mice decided to make a home in it. They chewed up the foam air/insulation strip on the top cover and used it to make nests (or whatever mice make) inside the machine between the boards. Quite a mess. Amazingly, the machine still works (we turned it on before we realized the inside was such a mess).
Note to self: clean everything else that was in storage very thoroughly...
