Hey guys my Vidikron up and quit displaying a picture. I need to know how to determine the root failure here so I can get some parts coming (from Curt of course).

It happened when I was trying to hook up a different DVD player, I think I may have wiggled the VIM board a bit and it just quit displaying.

When I power up I get no error lights though once or twice it did light up the h-sync, but it's not consistant. I can't get it to show the utility menu, and it doesn't crackle a bunch like it used to. It does crackle (like static) just a bit, just not as much.

I replaced the HVPS about 5 hours of run time ago, and there are no error lights on it.

Where and how do I determine if it's the VIM or something else without having a "known good part" to substitute?

I've got a nice Fluke meter, a digital lab scope, and I know how to use them...

pull the HDM out of it's sleeve. remove the little daughter board and try not to break the plastic screw. wipe all the pins with de-oxit and put it all back together.
