Been using my 1272 for awhile and I noticed that there is a brighter circle at the center of the image. This is a neckboard magnet adjustment correct?

All the time or just at startup and shut down?
Spot burn perhaps?

It's a manufacturing defect or material failure. For whatever reason, the phosphor coating starts to detach from the glass tube face.
Two question I have is a) how delam makes that portion of the image brighter, and b) how the phosphor stays intact and doesn't become burned. I mean, it's a super-thin layer of basically dust particles (with a binder), and not being attached to the tube face, how does heat not destroy it in short order - especially the blue.
Ragardless, you can pop the lens off the blue tube and have a look with a flashlight - you should be able to see something if it's truly de-lamination.
