I bought this product because I thought it was plug and play. Now I see that there is a slider that needs to be adjusted. Is there any rule of thumb because where it is installed it is almost impossible to adjust after installation. The only way to access to adjust is to raise screen each time. I know that there is a "Calibration for Dummies" but I am dumber than even that. It may be that this product is not for me.

Thanks,

Get a picture up on your screen with lots of dark, like a space scene. Adjust the slider untill you can **just*** see the brightness coming up in the dark areas. You should see much more detail. Don't go so far up as to turn black to grey.
