|
|
Hi guys this is the second power supply for my iMac and this time I opened her up and found a bunch of swelling caps.
I know most like to use the LOW ESR caps for computers and I also like them. But some sizes Are hard to find , that is not value but physical size as the iMac's power supply is tight. So will low impedance work just as well?
I am not in the mood to look up the definition of each one, just want to know if it makes any difference.
Caps I need
1000uf 10v 8mm dia
1000uf 25v 10mm dia
2200uf 25 v 10mm dia
1000uf 25v 12.5mm dia
3300uf 10v 10mm dia
120uf 10-16v 10mm dia
1200uf 16v 10mm Dia
I usually look on newark but most low ESR's are from farnell and need to add a 20$ handling charge, I could order a kit but the kits i have seen on Jim Warholick's site are not the same as my power supply. most i can find on Mouser and digikey as well. But the main question is will low Impedance work the same as low ESR's?
