Anyone know if a VP30 will take PS3 HDMI input and output 1080i over component? Only being used for gaming, no Bluray playback.

I currently have my PS3 hooked up to an older CRT rear projection set that only accepts component 480i/p/1080i. No HDMI/DVI inputs. As most PS3 games are 720p and the PS3 doesn's scale to 1080i, almost all games are output as 480p. I'd like to know if the VP30 would scale everything (mainly 720p) to 1080i and output from the VP30 over component.

Chris.

From what I understand of the manual, if you are using hdmi as your input, the only output that you will be able to use is hdmi.

Video Processor basics: encrypted digital in = no analog out.

Period nothing more to say.
