What are you using to view the GIF?

Try this... right-click... save as...
Now right-click on the GIF and choose "Open with... Internet Explorer"

And use 'save as' in the right mouse button menu.

The file is 1.5 megabyte.

As suggested above. I just tried it and the animated gif worked fine in an old version of the ACDSee image viewer. Animated GIFs have been around since the last century, so any ol'viewer should work.

Posted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 12:59 pm    Post subject: M-13 Days. Time To Start Rehersing

It is now M - 13 days, and counting. Only person I have heard from who is not coming is Bob (Citation4444). Also, I have not heard from Mark Connors, so I assume he is not coming. Still, about 40 attendees expected. Not a bad crowd.

The expected attendee list, as of 2009 October 4, fur as I know it, is:

Don Wallace (BBQ God, aka Wallace1234, aka Wallace123456)
Cliffy (Overclkr)
Ken Whitcomb (D6500Ken)
John (Emdawqz1)
Clarence (Clarence)
Mike (MP)
JBJR
Arli (Bomrat)
Craig Rounds + Lovely & Talented Wife (CIR Engineering)
Adam (BBfarmht) (Tentative)
Dropzone7
William and The Lovely & Talented Mona Seaward
Scott (AdrianKelly)
SC (ecrabb)
lexx21 and The Lovely & Talented Denise
Don Kellogg
Ron + Lovely & Talented Wife (macqyver655)
Mark Haflich
TimB + Lovely Mystery Wife (tentative)
Joe Hickman
Neil Mallik
Joel (tri_joel)
Jeff Coles
Ben, Robert, & Cheryl (CRTBen, CRTRobert & The Lovely & Talented CRTCheryl)

William (+ lovely & talented Cheryl)

Plus TBD Mystery Guests

Lots of upgrades to the video chain. Update description coming shortly.

Menu details to probably be posted by BBQ God sometime this week.

MP is coming over Friday, for what we both hope is the final calibration session (geometry and grayscale).

The lovely & talented Cheryl and I just went to a really classy wedding and reception last night, at a 200+ year old plantation not 5 mintues from the Home Theater. (The Home Theater is the Reference Point for the entire universe.) There most definately will be a rehersal dinner at a local classy country restaurant. We have many very good ones to pick from. American, English, French, Seafood, Italian, German, etc available within 20 minutes of the Home Theater. Anyone having arrived on Friday is welcome to participate. We must reherse to kick into Meet Mode!!!

Also, for all of you bringing Lovely & Talented wives/GFs who may like a side diversion, my Lovely & Talented wife runs the tasting room at a local winery, not 3 minutes from the Home Theater. Like at professional conferences, we could set up a "2009 East Coast Blend Meet Swedenberg Winery Tasting" spouses event" should there be sufficient interest. Spouses could shuttle over to the winery, and sample the 6 or so estate wines offered. Why they could even have a picnic lunch, outside, overlooking the 250+ year old working farm, a gorgeous view unto itself.

Hey William,

Been lurking on this for a while. Looks like I may have a window of opportunity to come by for a bit if you are still adding to the guest list. I'd love to see the maples as well as your awesome theater.

Time to get a census on who would like to attend Friday (October 16th) night's Rehersal Dinner. I will take a stab at those whom I'm almost certain will attend:

William
Cliffy
Arli
Don
Mark

Anyone else interested, please chime in. I would like to make a reservation, and need an approximate number of attendees.

Any preference on type of food, or should the host simply choose?

Time to get a census on who would like to attend Friday (October 16th) night's Rehersal Dinner. Right now, between those who I think will attend, and those who have chimed in, the list looks like:

William
Cliffy
Arli
Don
Mark
Ken
Clarence

No one has expressed a preference, so I'm thinkin either The Red Fox Inn (excellent food, fabulous atmosphere, claims to be the oldest continually operating hotel/tavern/restaurant in America) or the relatively new French restaurant. Both are in Middleburg, which puts them about 5 mintues from the Home Theater, and both satisfy Cliffy's criterion.

Any preference?

Can't go wrong with The Red Fox... http://www.redfox.com/
Menu: http://www.redfox.com/pdf/Monday%20-%20Friday%20Dinner%207-09.pdf

The French place might be a little too froo-froo for Cliffy... he'd try to order French Fries and French Toast.

If Cliff and Don make it here on Thursday I'll take them to Magnolia's here in P'ville.

Ummm

The Red Fox has been around since the early 1700's. It survived both the War for Independence, and the War of Northern Agression. I suspect it will survive us.

On the first floor, in the rear of the main dinning room is a separate area (with its own bar and fireplace) called the Tap Room. When I was the Treasurer of the Middleburg Library Advisory Board, every year I would make a reservation for the 2nd Friday in December for the Library Christmas party. The reservation would be for the entire Tap Room. Wonderful memories of those Christmas parties.

I will call tomorrow and see if I can get the Tap Room for next Friday night.

Lets say we start diner at 7:00 PM. Rehersal dinner attendees are welcome to either meet up at the Red Fox Inn, or come to the house a little earlier

I can care less about the menu (though the seafood alfredo sounds yummy), as long as they can make a TOP SHELF Long Island, I'm good. Mr. Green Thumbs Up
