I agree I was given one but installation and setup reverse scan it table 2-2 it reads if reverse scan is required see your dealer for assistance.
Your link on this site is much newer and a whole lot better. I'm done for the night I have to put it on a table and I can't lift it.
Thank you.

Woah, that a lot to absorb. I'll read it more in-depth tomorrow.
Thank you

X2. Bill Blue's guide helped me to squeeze one hell of an image out of my 'Quee. Valuable resource.

I nominate rewriting most of these manuals:
'If XXXXX is required, please sign up and post at www.curtpalme.com. There's some pretty sharp guys there, most that know their projectors better than the original dealers that sold it.'

Arggghhhh. so damned many settings, arrrggghhhh!!! I don't know what to do.This thing was set up for a curved screen and mine is flat. All of the hatch patterns are bowed.
So far the only thing that I think I have right is the distance to the screen. 100" diagonal screen 87" viewing width GT-17 lense throw
1.49 x 87= 129.63 + 4.4 = 134. No Questions just venting.

I have written a very basic "set-up guide for dummy's" , about 7 pages long on MSword. Trouble is people always insist that this be addded , removed, or re-written, so set-up really becomes a subjective thing. I doubt there will ever be a guide everyone agree's on.
If your starting with VR machine you need to go into the service menu and do a full re-set of all parameters.

I never realised how much I had forgotten about my old Marquee until I started reading this thread. Now, every time I go to answer a question, I realize that I've forgot what buttons to push or what menus to go to. Man, digitals make your brain go all lazy.

Hello
Factory throw formula? No one here uses that. You are too far back unless your H Size is 90 for most of your sources.

Tims Right you never use the trow distance formula..Its best to get the size you want on the tube face, about 7 mm
from each corner for the image. also set the tube face size using the source and resolution you want. this way you
will get the most phosphor use with out trying to max out all your setting later on. It best to follow the entire mechanical
set up guide built right into the Marquee, and then use the source set up guide also if you want later. I do the source set up on my own.
to find the throw distance you first set up the image size on the the green tube and try to get to within
the 7mm distance of the image(use a full field image). once you have the image to where you want it move the PJ closer or away from
the screen till it fills it from edge to edge, you can go over a bit and reduce the size later , this will move your image distance from
edges on the screen but this can be a good thing if you come across raster ringing and need some room on the one side to avoid it.
To initialize the PJ you need to go to Utilities, 9(service) then hit 0,9,0,1 and select initialize it will ask you what
type you want select reset all. this will get you to the start from scratch.
All cross hatch patters are bowed from the get go Dturco, if you follow the onscreen help guide you'll be
watching a movie in no time.
hit the help button and then select the guide you want. do all that first before trying the Bill blues Guide.
This will familiarize you with the set up and your new PJ
if i lived close to you i'd come to help out buddy !

ok, I see I had Dave (Durco?) mixed up with bdp (Dan?) who just bought an 8500Lc fixer upper, DOH
that 9500Lc sounds like a sweet PJ, I think you can safely assume everything is in good shape and such. The G2's in the 40's though is really low IMO. Even brand new tubes are in the high 50's/low 60's. Maybe this has something to do with the Torus, not sure?
Anyway, follow the simple guide I sent you. The most important thing at first isn't getting 100% perfect on first try but simply becoming familiar and comfortable with the machine.

You do live close. N.Y. is only 7 hours away.
well apparently I am making it harder then it is. I've done all of the menus so I guess I'll try to watch a movie. I did the reset all. It looks much better now. And knowing the bowing is normal I feel better.

If it has LUGs in it, the G2's should be in the low 40's at least they were on mine.
Chris.
