Hi guys, anyone know if this is possible? I have a guy that want's to display his Mac mni on his Toshiba 42" RPTV 480p and 1080i with an HDFury2

Does the Mac have custom resolution settings?

Is there a powerstrip avialable for it?

my macbook has selectable resolutions, they are just not labeled 480p i am not sure about 1080i i think it might try 1080p so tell him to use 540p as its the same basically. I set my lumagen to 540p and cant tell the difference, the mitsu thinks its 1080i his toshiba might work the same.

AR - If he wants to do custom resolutions, he just needs a copy of swtichResX. 480p and 1080i should be no problem, but he won't be able to do it without the software (or an intimate knowledge of command-line unix). Not sure about 480p... Even if you could select 640x480, it would be the square-pixel 640x480, and not the non-square pixel 720x480p CE timing.

Thanks for the helpful replies to my question. I feel more confident now that the HDFury2 will do exactly what I need. Now I just have to figure out how to properly calibrate my set since it seems I won't be upgrading any time soon after making this investment.
