Just to clarify: In denmark I see some ads about marq epc series, but "never" larger than the ecp series, small sonys like my d50 just older models, once I've seen a decent pg9 with had a rather big pricetaag on it, I've seen a 1209 fore about 3000dollars just after i bought my d50. my d50 had a pricetag of 2350 dollars bought it for 360 dollars in good condition but with an error code on the a board, got it fixed for a dollar and a pint;). enoughf off the stories Embarassed

I better stay with my d50 fore now, don't have 1600 to spend right now.

maybe i should consider curts 808 when the time comes, even thought i am/was looking foreward to show off with a 9" inch, know it would be ridicules as i could get a better pic cheaper. Mine is bigger then yours, don't know anybody else that has a crt so mine already is Laughing

thanks for all the answers

The only reason you want a 9" is for its picture quality. And with two tubes that are shot, the whole set becomes worthless aka boatanchor . I would pay no more than €100 for it, even in Denmark/EU.
And finding tubes on ebay is a risky business. Just put two, possibly three new tubes in. Try to get a good deal on a complete set and you are fine regarding tubes. There just is no substitute for new tubes in my opinion, that is what your goal should be.

You could get lucky, if you skan the skies;-). But getting new boeing tubes, plus the boardmods to make the best of these reportedly sharper tubes, on top of the base machine and one starts getting in the decent tube 909 territory (E 5K), quite a step up from a D50.
