Ok, I have a splt screen. I'm looking through the pdf manual he sent and searching the moome products section but if anyone has the quick answer I'd appreciate it. It's not rolling, just what's should be on top is at the bottom and the bottom is on the top with a line through it. Is this the horizontal shift issue?

Nevermind. Got it. Picture looks hot and washed out though. I've turned the contrast dial both ways and doesn't appear to be making any change.

I'm not seeing any effect from the gamma or contrast adjustments on this box.

To check out the gamma boost, find a shot in a movie that you know has shadow detail. (the scene in Egypt inside the temple in the Fifth Element works quite well) Pause the player when the priest's face is shown, mostly in shadow, and try adjusting the screw. If yours is like the RTC2000, it takes quite a few turns to see the effect. You will see it and afteryou are reasonably satisfied, continue running the scene. The boost will expand the near blacks and compress the midtones a bit. The result should be smoother more realistic fleshtones. You may find it necessary to adjust the black level and contrast a bit. If your grayscale was good to begin with, it should be affected much.

I've got the gamma boost all the way down and its still too hot and washed out. I'm going to have to redo the greyscale apparently because I cannot stand a washed out picture.

Try adjusting the brightness, then the gamma with a paused frame. I think my boost increases as I turn the screw counterclockwise. Sorry, it's been a while.

I know this isn't the priest, but the professor will do as well...

Just knocked down adjusted brightness and contrast on the pj to overcome the washed out image and tried messing with the gamma again. It does absolutely nothing and I have taken it from one extreme to the other

GRRRRRR. I've waited so long for this thing to arrive and its not behaving, but I can tell you the gamma boost knob is not working.

Is it working without the gamma? Do a search on the Fury products, I thought I read about a few 'washed out' or iffy pix out of the gamma units. I haven't personally used that one yet, but have used the Moome one and it worked fine.

I did get the moome ext Curt. No gamma adjustment at all. I crank the knob to both extremes and nothing.

Just for kicks, take the switch out of the equation (whoops - was typing when you posted) and just plug 1 source into the moome box. Make the link to the source as simple as possible. Try to get it working with 1 source first. You can add the switch once you figure it out.

I currently use HDMI out on PS3>hdmi-dvi cable> hdfury> box1040> vga-bnc cable> projector. I run audio to my receiver via the optical out on ps3.

Just try HDMI out from source> moome> projector. If it's still having issues, then the moome box is where you need to start looking (or your sources output setting, which should be put back to whatever used to work). If it works with that simple setup, add just the switch and see what happens, then keep adding other inputs until well, you have a problem or success.

Thank you guys. It works ok otherwise. Things are a little "off". I've only hooked up the BR at this point and haven't changed its settings at all. The switch is completely out of the mix at the moment. I switched it to 1080p for a second and didn't care for it so switched it right back to 1080i. I haven't tried the 720p setting. The only complaint I have is the gamma boost and it cutting off the very top of the pic. I've adjusted the shift. One click too far and you have to start all over again but I never get the top inch of the pic before it rolls back over. Everything else is just a matter of fine tuning the pj. I will keep reading to see if something jumps out at me.

Not sure if it will make a difference but try changing your Bluray players color space settings. There should be options for 4:2:2/RGB 0-255 etc. See if that makes any difference.
