I still don't understand why you guys want to turn it upside down on the floor. Just put space it up to the same offset to screen center as it will be when its on the ceiling. The projector doesn't care which orientation it's in. Wink

one reason and the main reason. the blend area will be pushed towards the center of the tube so i will be shifting the image as far to the right on the tube face . So when its flipped over the orientation now changes, and yes you might think it doesn't matter but I have found it does. I went through it the first time and found out because of that I did not make the locations correct( because of the flip not the calculations) and the PJ's were too close to each other. it altered the overall size to slightly smaller.

But Justin and I talked a little while ago and I decided not to use as much phosphor as I did the first time. I will leave much more so i have wiggle room on the tube face to either enlarge , shift left to right or up and down. you have to remember the PJ's are not level to the center of the screen so keystone comes into play. So now the trapezoid also flips, and then the vertical location of the image comes into play, I might not have enough tube area to move the image to get it to fill the screen, then raising and lowering the PJ comes into play which I would love to avoid . When I first did the blend I had to take down the PJ's and move the mounts to fix what I thought should be correct . I too thoguht exactly as you are Steve but physically doing it proved me wrong. Take off next wed and come help us ! Wink

For the blend to be optimal the raster's are not centered on the tube fac. If you set them up while sitting on the floor and then flip the PJ when mounting on the ceiling you'll likely have everything backwards. For it to be correct, the left PJ will have the raster shifted so that the left edge will be right against the left edge of the tube face and the right PJ will have the raster shifted so that the right edge will be right against the right edge of the tube face. There's two advantages in doing this:

a) you have room to manipulate/tweak the raster in the blend zone
b) with the raster edges that overlap in the blend zone not at the edge of the tube face there will be less distortion and it should be easier to achieve perfect linearity at the center of the image. I'd also suspect that the phosphor is more even the further you move away from the edge.

I concede Crabb is right on this one. I tried but realized to do it the PJ have to be up on the ceiling. So I will have to flip the PJ over and set it up as a floor mount then flip over again. I will have to just compensate. One thing though is I will have to move the PJ's way way back. I estimate between 24-30 inches!!! That means the unistrut in the ceiling will not cover the move back. I'll have to remove it all and remount into the ceiling, that is a big time killer!!!

So one thing We could do is set up the left PJ on the floor then mount it in the right PJ on the ceiling, this way the shifted off center will go to the correct side then I just swap the video and tweak it form there. No sweat ! Wink

Well the Left long bow is up and level. I will now have to work on part of the geometry. Just the size mostly.

I even put some of the tiles back up. The only thing is i had to move the PJ back and the back part of the
Uni-strut is not spurted so the PJ bounces for a bit if you smack it. It shouldn't be an issue.
And if it is I'll add two or one more bolt just for rigidity . It is up there pretty good I was hanging
from the struts on the back end and middle it wont come down.

And a video, streaming music stopped part way through Sad

That was close to what Clarence did with his G90. When I saw the video, I immediately thought of my drywall lift. If I keep and install the G90 on the ceiling, then I will put pj on the lift and wheel it into place.

Yeah those Pulley mounts Rock!!! I wish they made them out of aluminum, it be much lighter. The top half has to be about 20-30 pounds and holding it in place by yourself gets tiring real fast.

So for the right PJ i plan to just lower it remove the tubes add the 9 inchers. Then remove the mount and use the left PJ mount location as the measurement points for the 2nd mount as Steve suggested earlier. I got close here on this one with a very rough
measurement method.I might have it all done before Justin gets here next week Wink
