not sure if this is a normal oddity with marquees but when i dial in a certain resolution at say 1080p 48hz then switch to 72 hz (which changes the frequency block from low to high) my centering is out.
all the geometry etc is fine but my red and blue rasters are shifted up. red by about 1cm, blue by about 2 cm. this is only in the vertical plane
i can use recal memories to have different memories for the low or high frequency block but its still a bit of a pain

is this normal? or is it a certain board that might need a little maintenance and if so which one?
everything is mechanically dialled in pretty well

my unit is a 9500lc ultra

I have not seen this on my 2004 8500 ultras. I have done the same as you from 48,72 up to 96hz and no shift, always there will be some convergence movement, but not as much as your seeing.

TSE would know best.

There isn't a good reason for what you describe happening. It sounds like the CPU is switching to a different recall channel because of the different scan frequencies. Try turning off the automatic functions. My best guess as to why things change from one format to another....
