|
|
Hi, i'm rather new to these CRTs, I have actually two ECP 4100.. one needs a HV Ps....
how do i access the vertical trimpots? i think i see them on the boards inside but there is no way to get to them. do i need a special tool to get to them? i have it set up as a wide screen projector and the vertical adjustment on the remote is at the minimum and i think its still too tall. how do i adjust the trimpots without getting electrocuted?

You need tweakers(not drug addicts either). They are really long plastic tools.

where can i get them? radio shack? and some of the trimpots seemed blocked by the tubes, thats what confused me about them, i've been meaning to do it for some time now. i DO have non conductive tools, but they're short. not long enough to reach that deep into the machine.

cut down chop sticks or shish cabob skewers and don't turn every trim pot in site. JUST the one's you need to align your image.

yup... it was so easy... put a screw driver in it and boom.. right aspect ratio! actually i had this model projector for a while now. my first one blew the HV powersupply. it has brighter tubes than the one i'm using now i think. i actually had a different screen name.. i made a new account just cuz i didn't like then name i chose. was pfloydphanatic. didn't mean to be shady or anything.
