Hello. I have a PG6 plus in my setup. I use HTPC and run it at 1600x1050 60kHz. Old sucker has no problem to display at 65kHz. My family is gone for vacation so I took out my XG 75 from storage to have some fun. But problems..
It worked flawlessly before. Now it does not synchro to the signal. It displays only 800x600 and 1600x900 60 or 72 Khz and one can register the signal.
All other resolutions it displays perfect but unconverged picture but none of the commands from remote works. One can only turn projector off. From time to time the picture shifts and remote works but one get a scrambled menu and picture. Then it goes back to nice picture but no way to register the signal. Is it possible that moving the unit could caused some board to get loose. On these two resolutions picture looks great and projector is stable. Thank you. Robert.

Try reseating all of the boards in the cardcage first. If you are truly getting scrambled menus and sync problems then it might be you have a bad system board. I had the same thing happen on my XG-852. It was pretty frustrating but swapping the board cured it. Watch out for voltages on neutral at your projector's power outlet. If the AC outlet it's plugged into shows even a few volts on neutral it can screw up that system board.

Hello. I have checked all boards in metal cage and no go. If this projector is sick there is no cure for system board. I can't
run any other resolution from my HTPC /8500gt and clone with 1080p LCD/ so it is no big problem but no more cable box movies for now. Thank you. Robert.

Could be System board, Osc board, or maybe Wave board.

Hello. I am not going to investigate this issue any longer. Back to the old pg6. All this newer toys are better but not as reliable as the simpler, older sets. Back to the storage. Thank you for your input. Robert.

Hello. I have decided to give it another chance. I used a cheater plug and everything started working as it should. No problem with any resolution. Thank you. Robert.
