Reminds me of someone who spent a LOOONG time developing Barco mods after approximately 50 people here showed great interest in purchasing them once they were available (and they were given a ballpark price too). But once available, basically nobody opened their wallets. Sheesh.

not me, had I had a Barco at the time, they would have been bought for sure, funny how things work out though, hey Mike? Thumbs Up Shocked

so spill the beans, what does a 909 do better than the 1209s?

better astig, better HFQ lenses, better bandwidth? more focus control?

Well... You could have a 'BARCO909' license plate, but 'BARCO1209S' would never work... Wink

About all of it. It is simply unbelievable when you adjust the dynamic astig on the edge of the screen in the corner on a 10ft wide screen and the sharpness of the dots is just insane. The accuracy of the focus and dynamic astig control is just beyond any other projector out there.
Whithout the HFQ900 lenses this level of precision would not be possible, so the improvements go hand in hand.

so the HFQ lenses are that much better than the GT17? Wink my screen is 83" wide with maximized phosphor on the upcoming 1209s

might have to try and find a set
