Well,
I was asking myself how long it would take to pop up on the bay.
I sold this unit just friday.
But at that price....i don't know...seems rather high.

It's in good condition though....

It would be interesting to have a split pack.

How long are the embelical cords on these units and can they be extended?

I seem to recall that when the topic of the 12" Barcos came up before, that there was talk that they didn't actually resolve better than a 9" but they were a lot brighter. I also recall that the 912 has the 909 electronics and is therefore more desirable than the 812 which uses the 808 electronics. Whatever the case I think 15,000 Euros is an insane asking price. I don't think ANY used CRT projector is worth that today.

I remember reading the same things on AVS...I would buy a 1209s any day before buying this. Where the heck do you even find new tubes and what do they cost ???

Arbey did mention last year he had a lead on 12" tubes. There are specialists out there for most things, Arbey happens to be one in BARCO CRT's projectors.

If I remember correctly from a thread I saw the lenses limited the resolution very much, not so easy to replace either I would imagine.........

I also noticed this right away when it appeared on Ebay. The price they are asking now is just outrageous. Somebody is just trying to make a quick profit. I sincerely hope nobody buys it for the price they're asking. A damned shame it didn't end up to an enthusiast (at least yet).

This is the thread I referred to if anyone wanted to look, go down to the member Dean McManis.

Then again, that guy said it was totally impossible for a CRT projector, even a G90, to resolve 1920x1080... so I'm not sure how much stock I'd put in what he says! Rolling Eyes
