No to the NEC's. I seem to have become hung up on the marquees because of their military specs and the general fondness that is prevalent here on the forum. Although I could be swayed with more info.

I'm no expert either but I can say that the 1209s pj's are pretty impressive. Try to find one of the Runco models and get colored elements too. Even if you got one and it wasn't very good you could probably part it out and make money on it.

Don't get hung up on that. The military buys Ampro's too Mr. Green Wink

Yep the 1209s has the advantage of being quieter (fan noise) stock, seems to be less likely to leak glycol and will most likely come stock (s models here) with the higher resolution PT-22/P19s. As you say the Runcos have bonus of coming with colored c elements and the HD120 lenses. The negative to the Runcos to some is their scan rate limitation of 1080p 60Hz.

Oh and he missed two Runcos 1100s cheap about less than 60 miles form the eastern shore or Maryland about 3-4 weeks ago Wink .

The scan rate limitation isn't really a big deal for HT use. Nice snag by the way. Wink

Thanks! And you are right I don't think the scan limitation is a bit one at all but some folks really want to 1080p 72Hz.

As in almost giving them away but they did need work and a green tube. I had to raid the several boards from one projector to get the other working. And of course I am going to need to swap the green tube myself. So while I am still ahead I am not that far ahead unless I value my hourly wage as something approaching $0. I did get lucky that nobody else noticed them (other than Curt) before I could get them.

I hope I'm not coming off as an ass here,I am having fun and 2 for 1 with my labor would make me feel like i did well too.But close to 0 still ain't 0. No hostility intended. I'm sure that sounds harsher then how I mean it.

First off that 9500 is an Ultra, the boards alone can fetch 1k-1.5k then the GT1017 lens another 300-500, get 300 for both power supplies and id pay 300 for the LC housings and spent tubes. So it could be worth it to someone who has cheap tubes to put in it, If it was me I'd say 2000 as an offer, but i have lots of tubes! Very Happy

It is a little hard to bring a CRT projector back on the plane with you and these days I shiver to think what it would cost to put the projector on a plane. That said you could always ship or rent a car/truck one way.

I am having the twins shipped by Yellow. 479 to the yellow dock here in Buffalo then I go get um! another 79 if shipped to my door, I'd rather go pick them up as its too hard to make sure I am home when they come. But Forward Air is the cheapest but they don't do pick ups. I had a marquee shipped from texas to buffalo for 190 dock to dock.

Yeah big silver bird will work for me but you can not bring anything over 100 lbs on not even as checked baggage. In fact you can't even freight forward and be sure its on the plane with you. I called the U.S. AIR customer service and their cargo department as I was going to fly up to see Curt and retrieve a projector from him.

Hi I'm back. Changed my mind on the barco. I am looking at a 9500lc ultra it has 49,255 hours in standby but only 3900 on tubes.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this but if the tubes are original then the electron gun and cathode have 49,225 + 3900 hours on them. Standby on Marquee is video mute, everything except the Phosphor is active. That many hours on the gun will lead to poor light output and electronic focus.

Bingo. Those tubes are shot.
