I'm kicking around the idea of going with six guns and a screen upgrade for our theater - which can go up to 12' wide. Are the devices to generate blending with crazy expensive? I'm assuming we're talking about an upstream signal processor and not actually a feature within higher end pj's?

I'd appreciate any pointers.

Thanks,
Dan

the least expensive stand alone blend units are the C2-1250 units from TV-One these are all analog if you want to go the digital route you'll need the C2-2250.

Pm For prices if interested.

Be prepared to spend some money. Also, how long do you want to stick with CRT? If you have seen a digital and thought it would be good enough in another three years for you to jump, then get a regular 8" LC or 9" LC. Is your screen 2.35 or 16x9?

Why won't you post the prices? Are you a distributor?

So, you can't even post the retail prices. I doubt Curt or Kal would care if you promote your products, since they have no competing products.

TV-One policies. Not allowed to post..this is why Andy has never posted them either and asked the buyers not to post what they paid, we can get them much lower than retail, and if we start posting and the buyers do they wont sell to us, then we can loose out on good deals for every one.

Hope you understand

Just reading this Im not sure anyone has really helped the guy. Why not just list the type equipment necessary and then how to plug it all together. If you want to discuss price well thats another discussion!!!

Thank you, but I did request and receive pricing from Ath.

I think I'll be sticking with a single for awhile. Mr. Green

I understand, but it doesn't look like TV-One is enforcing thheir policies. A quick google search tell me that the retail price according to Markertek is $2500 for the 2250. A variety of places have it listed from $1995 to retail. Anyway, that is cool that you don't post your price, but a retail listing shouldn't be against TV-One policies. Also, you should maybe put this in your sig so people here no who to go to for TV-One purchases.

I believe Nash did. You need two pjs and a blender. The TV-ONe is a scaler as well.

Blorton,
Another way of going big is a Torus screen. Do a search to find more info. I believe Chuchuf has one at his place. He is in Alpharetta. Is your screen 16x9?

As a stand alone scaler the C2-2250 is a nice piece, sure no on screen mene's but the performance is what counts and soon they are adding more features. Just a pain to learn the menu structure but once you do its not hard.

Honestly, Nash I didn't know you were a distributor till I asked. My guess is most others didn't either. I am sure most members here would rather go through you than Markertek, etc. Like I said, you should put this in your sig.

I really wasn't going to try to sell any, as MadMrH is a seller also and does more for the firmware aspects that I have. i didn't want to step on his toes.
In europe he'd be the guy to get them from. I can get them for any one here in the US. I just posted that above on a whim with no intention to start this
whole conversation but now i am in it ! Very Happy Wink

As new business venture I suggest you adopt the try before you buy policy. Wink

Laughing Now that your in it, maybe you can better explain the differences. Wink

Do you need one or two of the 1250s? Is the only difference between the 1250 and 2250 digital input and output? Wasn't there a way to do blending with the 260 PC card or did that not pan out? This isn't a scaling thread, but don't you have a Lumagen. Is there a difference between the Lumagen and the TV-Ones? If you don't have a Lumagen, then get those pjs up so you can do a comparison with Craig.Smile
