In basic terms there are two ways to produce an image on your PJ.

1 BD Player (or DVD) some sort of gamma correction (maybe a scaler) a Fury then your PJ.

2 A HTPC then PJ.

I am not trying to be exhaustive here I realise that there maybe other components in the chain or not in either case.

Which one will produce the best image quality??

I would be willing to state that a HTPC would be the best option for image quality simply because you can tweak resolutions to match your specific projector. However, a standalone player would be the easiest and least expensive route.

BD player>Lumagen HDQ/HDP> Moome HDMI internal card. Simply Awesome!!!!
But you have a Barco, i never new why Moome Nevr made a Barco HDMI card, but Greg eismans is also a very good HDMI option.

There's no user accessible slot in Barcos. Sure. He could make a specialized card that replaces the port 3 card (since nobody really uses it) but then how do you get the HDMI connector to be accessible from the outside? IMHO, it's just simpler for Barco owners to use the external EXT-FULLHD.

Ahhhh, so this is what Greg does i bet. he must add a connector on the out side or it is fed into the PJ to the a connector on the inside of the port3 board.

are you talking about ease of use or the ability to put in a 10's of hours to extract that last little bit of PQ?

The Connector on Gregs board is not external its internal so its up to the owner to route the cable in, I had a small slot cut and hole drilled in the case and its fine just be aware of stiff HDMI cables they may cause a problem when routing over the cards.
