Blue Ray

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's been awhile, but I know I can count on you guys for the right direction.

I'm at a cross road right now but don't know which way to go. I have a Sony 1252Q that performs great thanks to all of you on this forum. I have three IFB input cards.
Mike Downing IFB DVI input card
Moome IFB-DVI-Compenent input card
IFB-12 inputcard from Curt Palme

My Momitsu V880 Deluxe is starting to skip/freeze up and taking forever to load a movie- other than that, when it does play, all is well. I have been using the DVI output from the Momitsu from day one with the Mike Downing DVI Card and it has performed flawlessly. I knew at the time it was not HDCP compatible and used it for the Momitsu. The Moome DVI card is HDCP compatible and would like to know if I can use a DVI to HDMI adapter to go Blue Ray? Will a Blue Ray player improve my picture even more? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I may consider parting with my IFB-12 card if any one is interested.

Moome
Will the card have a version number on it? The box it was shipped in has the date 3/02/06. On the side it says IFB-M2005A+ Any idea where to look?

Dan

Hi Dan, I belive Moome was offering a free upgraded chip for the DVI cards to make it work with the new gear. You would need to find someone to solder it on the board for you though. There are a few qualified guys here that do that kind of work maybe one of them will jump in.

You can email moome at moome@curtpalme.com to find out if he still has the upgrad chips available. The model number of your card is the IFB-M2005A. There may also be a date there too. Fire Moome an email and see what he says.
