OK, I have to laugh at this one, Curt. You're calling 59,700 "pretty close" to 68,000. That's an 8,300-hour difference, and it's "pretty close". Heh heh... That's nearly a YEAR of 24/7 operation. What's funny about that? I wonder how many digital projectors last the 8,300 hours - never mind the 60,000.

It reminds me of a comment I heard at a restaurant the other day, two adults were talking about parent/teacher interviews.
The one parent was complaining about how the teacher told him that they didn't care as much about the right answer as they did that the children got the concept.
THe adult apparently fired back: How about you go to the doctor to get a splint for your finger, but instead he amputated it? Close enough, right?
I didn't mention that other than toasted tubes, the set worked fine.

Not really Heywood. If you had a picture of an 80 year old with saggy aggies, hanging into the frypan, now THAT would be toasted tubes!
The ones above... I'd just call those......ripe!

I think some of you have it a little wrong here. NEC used to regularly give out Doug's number whenever someone called about CRTs. While it is great that Nec is refering to Curt, it may indicate that Doug is out of the game either voluntarily or otherwise.
