|
|
HI to everybody,I have a barco cine9 with connected the dvdo vp50 through cable hdmi, obviously I have used the new hdfury2 for to do this because as your know the projector it is unprovided of connection hdmi, but however it doesn't work me more than 720p! When I send to the projector the signal to 1080p 60 through dvdo,is visible a disturbed image to 120 hz,to succeed in seeing the image I have to manually lower the dvdo to 52 hz,but however to this point is slightly seen the jerky image I don't understand what the problem,I think that it is hdfury but he is sold for 1080p 60hz,and it is that new,
I hope your know how to give me an answer
Thank

Use a proper power suplly and a very good quality cable.

No,I have not connected the power supply, why you ask this? You think that to reach the resolution 1080p hdfury needs the power supply?
The hdmi cable is Monster Cable HD1000

How long is the cable?
I've discovered that my 25 foot cable between my Blu-Ray player and my Moome card-equipped Marquee is
marginally too long. Sometimes I can't get a link at 1080p, sometimes I can.
Moving the player nearer to the projector and using a shorter cable ensures that I always can get a picture at
1080p. I need a little more drive out of the player or should just stick with a shorter cable though it does make
the installation less neat and orderly.

I have the fury connected right at the source after the vp50 and then 30ft of rgbhv to pj,I have no power supply for the fury and have no problems at 1080p.Is it that the vp50 is pumping out enough juice that negates the use of the fury power supply?Just curious......

Dave | Gamma box or line driver after fury might drive your long cables better than fury. It's not designed to drive long cables.

OK,considering that almost all the answers say the same thing, among a few days arrives to me the power supply and I try to see how it works,my cable is long 20ft - 6m, indeed it is long, but seeing that hdfury worked however,I thought that it didn't need the power supply,so this means whether to make to work it to 1080p 60hz needs the optimal electricity?

To make my hdfury1 work at 1080p I had to move it closer (6") to the projector and use the power supply. The hdfury2 should be able to drive a longer cable so the power supply is the best thing for you.

Hi,
Not to be a complete ****, but it does help people to solve problems if you give the whole chain that is connected between the source player and the PJ, with make and model, and, usually, which software version that your hardware use.
Example:
PS3 (latest version)->VP50 (latest version)->Projector
Or:
PS3 (latest version)->Pioneer LX90->VP50 (latest version)-Projector
That is every hardware you have inbetween your player and your viewing device is important, and sometimes even the type and version, and length, of the cables are important for people to solve a problem.
***
Now from the sound of it:
first make sure you've connected the HDFury2 correct, then that the VP outputs a sync polarity your PJ likes the/works best. But at least make sure that your resolution and your frequenzy choice is supported in terms of bandwidth with the current state of your projector hardware.
(If the HDFury is working, cable lenght, or quality, shouldn't be much of a problem, since _not_ using the "built-in" power supply only renders a darker picture, since the signal doesn't get the added boost. Of course if your using extreme long cables other problems will probably arise. But 10-12 meters with the old HDFury ain't a problem, even with the a cheaper "jerry-rig" cable selection.)
Make sure _all_ your cables/converters can handle the bandwidth, i.e. works with 1080p at the frequenzy your using.
If you have an Audio Video Reciever inbetween your player and the VP50, use the "through-put", i.e. turn off the internal video chipset. Or make sure it can handle the frequenzy your using.
If your using a switch, make sure the switch can handle the bandwidth, i.e. can handle 1080p, at the frequenzy your using.
Only use a splitter if it works. :p
***
A known problem is that a PS3 can be very "strange" not to functioning properly at all resolutions, which seems to be the same for various Audio Video Recievers.

Hi,I have tried to connect the power supply, and the problem remains! When I send the signal with the dvdo to 1080p,the projector shoots to 120hz and is seen all confused,I have also tried with hdmi cable along 5ft (1,5m),and don't change anything!
And sending the signal to 720p with the power supply connected the image is seen disturbed from of the waves, instead of improving, it worsens!

The Fury cannot change the refresh rate from 60 >120 Hz. Are you sure you are not outputting 1080p@120 Hz to the Fury or projector ?
The projector says otherwise...
Can you try 59.94 Hz as a refresh rate ?

I don't touch anything,I tell the dvdo to send the signal to 1080p 60hz and the projector recognizes 120hz,visualizing a disturbed image,I have tried to manually lower the hz on the dvdo, and only arrival to 52hz the projector recognizes the resolution and the image is seen, but to this point the image it goes jerky!

I don't know if I have understood,do you want to know which blu ray player use?I have connected the Denon 2500bt through hdmd to the dvdo, and from the dvdo goes out with cable hdmi up to the hdfury, that he connects the door 3 of the Barco.
One month ago I had connected the player Sony, and it was the same identical problem, for me the problem is the hdfury that doesn't understand the signal, and sends a wrong signal to the projector, but this is what I think!

Carlitos,
i had the same problems hooking up a PS3 directly to the HDFury.
After putting a scaler/switcher in the line (it was a Lumagen HDP in my case) there where no probs anymore.
Try to shorten the cable length between you source and projector, that's essential in my opinion.
But one sentence that might help, with a scaler/switcher you will not have these issues.
In the worst case your HDFury might be buggy, but i don't think so.
So long i will go after a scaler again. It's the best solution. A lot of inputs and one output signal with 1080p, that's it.
You only have to setup your Cine 9 one time for all sources....
cheers,
ElTopo

I already have the dvdo vp50 connected to the hdfury, and however this problem exists, and I have tried with the cable hdmi 5 ft long, doesn't change anything!
You still have the connected hdfury also with Lumagen?
