VDC IS the manufacturer of the Marquee line. It's made in Florida, just down the road from where the shuttle launches are held.

Sales person: Imagine yourself needing a projector when there isn't one available, right. Out comes this small handheld projector, capable of throughing a 480 lines 50" picture ... LCoS, LED, 1500h, and 10 (ten) Lumen. All for only about $299.
Uhm, sounds expensive for ...
But, hey, we still got the old version left (I wonder why), only $99, and it's capable of 60". It's a TFT 240 lines, and uses an ordinary 35W light bulb.
(Mobile presentation PJ's at it's best, hahaha.)
Uhm ... it. Isn't cheaper to buy an old LCD 1024x768 PJ that is ultra light, then your crap?

Hmm, that they're still trying to hawk a 1-2 year old handheld PJ should probably tell 'em they'n't selling, which would, one suppose, mean that people don't want to buy 'em. But hey, there's always the next customer to try on ...

An RS1 or RS2 is not likely a $3,000 projector. Im not sure what they cost. I do remember though seeing a picture on here of a screen from an RS1 and the same scene from a CRT, and the CRT was substatially better, and although that doesnt mean much, id say it would still be better in many ways.
LEDs are bulbs for the want of a better word, and they will fail just like any other light emiting device (i look after the lighting in a very large club here in Australia, there is well over 100,000 in the joint, i know a fair bit about lights!!)

RS1 or 2 are a fair bit more than $3k. All I was saying is the best I've seen is a $3k epson, I want to see what a projector 3-10 times the cost can do. Somehow I doubt I'd notice a huge difference.
The new LED's are rated for 20,000 hours so even if you only get 10,000, it's on par with CRT for longevity. That's impressive for a bulb.
Let's hope VDC keep the CRT's coming for a few more years.

Youll get more than 10,000 out of a CRT if you want to and it doesnt break down before hand. At the end of the day, LEDs or dicroic light bulbs, they will still have low contrast ratios (unless they keep rating in dynamic) and still have jaggies.

it is the mini projector with the dimension of 70*70*70mm
while the projction distance can be 5m with the size of screen of 112inches

Hmmm. Size doesnt matter if its a permenant location. Picture quality DOES matter though. It matters alot.
See in this section of the forum, any of your info about such a projector will fall on deaf ears, cause this is the CRT Projector section, and its pretty common knowledge to all involved that you wouldnt go looking for a digital or even a portable in here. People have CRT projectors cause they apreciate the picture quality and dont care about size or portability.
