|
|
After installing the HD Fury and the Gamma-x into my theater (with a Sony 1272 and Oppo DVD) The image is very green. It look like the whites are tinted more than an overall green tint. Occassionally, it will go to normal for a few minutes if I unplug the power to the Gamma-X, but permanently, nothing seems to help.
I've unplugged the power to the HD Fury, too. The image remains greenish.....There are no setup options via the projector that I could access since the input is not video. (Actually, the projector does not recognize the input as RGB either).........what it going on? Anyone have an idea?
Thanks, Dennis

I had the same thing.
See https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=14232.html
My simple solution, was to switch to a different HDMI source, such as my DVD player, then back to the satellite input.
By the way, I don't think you are supposed to put power into both the HDFURY2 and GAMMA-X, just the HDFURY2.
Switch on HDFURY should be in RGB position (toward output). Switch on GAMMA-X should be in PASS.

Thanks for the reply Wayne.....
I think you have the HD Fury2, mine is the earlier HD Fury......to clarify; you switched the projector to another source and back and all the green went away permanently? I'll get that temporarily by unplugging the Gamma-X power source, but it doesn't last....I am converting HDMI from the Oppo to DVI for input into the HD Fury and then to an RGB breakout cable to go to the projector. I do have the Gamma-X in Pass.............I just tried it Wayne and its still GREEN. HELP!

I don't know anything about the original HDFURY.
In my case, there were two HDMI sources(Satellite and DVD), an HDMI switch, and the HDFURY2.
Before I installed the HDMI switch and the second HDMI source, I tested only with one source, and it was green all the time.
When I added the second source, it seemed to "force" either the HDFURY2 or the projector into the right mode.
My issue was definitely power related, and possibly sequence of power on. When I simulated a power failure, by turning off the circuit breaker to all equipment, and then did a power on, it came up green. BUT, if I unplugged the HDFURY2 power and the HDMI cable and plugged it into another HDMI source (DVD), it would work until I powered off again.
I never did figure out why, or which device (satellite, HDFURY2, or projector) caused the problem.
I have a workaround and I am happy.
Click on my link and read my saga.
Good luck..
...Wayne

By the way, you are in the wrong forum.
You should be in the HKMod (HDFury) Products forum.
