After searching and measuring all sorts of common items-
I found lense caps for my NEC XG!
They are disguised as the black base/ spindle that comes
in multi- packs of CD's and DVD's.
They even have a handle built right in,
and grip the lense ring on my HD 144's, w/o touching the lense!
(My unit is still table top mounted so I can not confirm ceiling mount use.)
I can confirm that Maxell and Verbatim brands do the job equally well.
I took pictures for you doubting Thomas's-
only to find that AOL dumped the FTP service back in Nov.
I have tried to add a pic as an attachment.
PM, or post, if you want a pic - or can suggest a free FTP service for Mac OS-X user.
Now I feel better than XMAS- darn you AOL!
Robin
