|
|
Hi,
I'm going to embark on ceiling mounting my 8000, but having a look at the underside of the projector (currently sitting on the floor), I note 4 sets of 2 holes (8 holes total) which are threaded holes in the aluminium frame.
So two questions;
1. Are these the correct mounting points? (structural?)
2. Does anyone know the correct diameter of the threads?
Thanks for any help,
Steve

yes, those are the right holes but I don't remeber 8 of them? IT takes a 3/8" bolt, 16 threads per inch. Just ask for a 3/8-16 UNC bolt at any hardware store. There's plenty of clearance so you can get 1" long no problem or longer if you need it.

3/8" threaded rod, available from any hardware store, screws right into those holes. 16 threads per inch, I believe.
Those holes in the Marquee baseplate are there specifically for mounting the projector. You can use just four of them,
you don't have to use all eight.
