My XG is very normal to display 480i, 1080i, 720P. I was very happy with my XG untile yesterday when I tried to set it up with 1080p/60Hz from PS/3. It can lock the video signal, but the image is shifted to left very much. Even though I adjust the image shift control to the right limit, I can't make it centered. And when reaching the right limit of the shift control, the image like a little "fold back" on the right side. I am very sure the raster is in the center. Is there any way to solve this problem?

You need a Scaler or a PC.

Or stick to 1080i.

This is a known issue. CRTs need custom timings for higher res's. Sony's seem to get away with it, but not NECs or Barcos.

Has that really been documented?...I would be surprised if it did fix the problem. The porch timings required are much different than standard 1080p timings.

Hey Chip do you get any 'flagging' at the top of the image in high def modes? I get it anywhere past 1024x768/60

By "flagging" you mean???
There is no difference in the image, It just allows me to set phase to 50% rather than 98-100% to center the image at 1080P
