I have a chance to pick up a DTV991 locally for pennies. I was just wondering if it's worth parting it out to make a little bit of money. Are any of the parts worth anything? The unit powers up and then shuts down and the tubes have some wear on them.

Thanks!

Doc

991 is an XG right? If so the lenses are worth a buck, not sure about the cards, especially if it doesn't run right.

I think I've got a ps for one if you end up buying it and trying to save it.

Was this the unit on Craigslist in the St. Louis area? I almost picked it up myself. Don't see too many CRT's in the midwest so I got pretty excited when I found one reasonably close....

I was looking at the same thing. Then I picked up an ecp 4101.
