Hi, I just bought the HDF with the green cable for my TV.

OK, So I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what but I have Comcast HD box -->> HDMI toHD Fury1 --> RGBHV to my Mit VS-50803 TV. The picture is not any better than when I do Comcast HD box-->SVideo cable directly to my SVideo port on my TV.

In fact, with SVideo it's better because the Comcast menu whe I show the guide on TV is much more clear. With HDMI ->HDF1->RGBHV it's a little blurry.

I spent a lot of time doing the advanced convergence, can't seem to get a crisp/clear picture with HDMI ->HDF1->RGBHV to TV.
Also, alot of my screen is cropped off. It's like my screen size shrunk on all sides.

Is it possible my Comcast box (even though it says 1080i on the front) is not set up correctly?

S-Video can only support 480 interlaced lines. I'm assuming you are using a breakout cable set with five (5) individual RCA-style physical connectors that are connecting to the HDTV or DTV labeled input.

On my WS-65907 the DTV connectors support both Component and RGBhv. The connectors are labeled Y/R, G/Pr, B/Pb, H, and V. Once you have connected the breakout cable to these connectors, I would make sure that you have enabled the HD resolutions on the Comcast STB.

BTW, you can hit either a Display or Info button on the Mits remote and it will tell you what resolution it is receiving. This is key in making sure the you have the Comcast STB is setup for the desired video output.

Lastly, the Mits requires that you choose the between RGBhv or Component video to be expected on the Y/R, G/Pr, B/Pb, H, and V connectors.

Ahhh..

If I select "info" on my remote I see the following:

DTV 99.99
HD 16:9 1080
--:-- --
Signal Strength is set to the lowest, guess that means zero.



This doesnt look good.

Thoughts on this?
