Rumor has it that this could be an engagement/pre/post engagement party for me and Sparky. I'll never tell!!!)
Anyone going to CES? Hotels are being blown out dirt cheap apparently, so I'm guessing attendance this year isn't what it was in the past.
AVS isn't having a dinner/party either I don't think, I don't see any banner ads there...
Anyone going? Wanna meet up?

I'd really like to go to that sometime - never been before. I get asked by a coworker to go to the SEMA car show every year, but I'm not a motor head. CES would be interesting.
Is CES open to the public, or is it one of those where you have to get a company sponsored pass (like SEMA)?
Just checked, looks like I could get a plane ticket easily enough from Dallas..... Of course, it'll probably snow again and shut down Las Vegas like it did last week:

Curt,
Not to be a downer and I am sure Sparky is a great girl but what would it hurt to wait a year or so? I just hate to see people go through the divorce process that could have been avoided if they would have waited to get through the initial infaturation period and made sure that things would be good long term. Of course this is coming from a guy who waited until 37 to get married.

You do need ID and a company business card to get in. So I made Sparky a temporary employee with 250 business cards..
Drice, good sentiments indeed, some of the very ones that I've given a bunch of friends over the years..
