Any reports on reclock these days?

I'm thinking HTPC again, but I wouldn't bother if I can't get reclock to work with it.

Mark, you must be reclocking still...does it work with all the lastest apps? Or Vista?

Ben

I am using reclock for TMT, PDVD, Zoomplayer and DVBViewer. Works like a charm.

The only downside is that the "newer" beta versions that slysoft is providing (not selling for some reason) is always set to expire in a couple of months. Its not a big deal since you can always just download the newest version to get a new expire date, but at least I want to be able to stay with a version that works nice and not have to be forced to upgrade every 3 months or so.Slysoft dont have any plans to start selling and officially support it, but for me it works perfectly.

You could of course get your hands on the "old" reclock that was not picked up by slysoft to avoid the expire stuff, but it is harder to get to work with the newer apps.

Does the newer version work when playing back Bluray/HDDVD with PDVD/TMT?

Chris.

Yes, it works for sure. I use it in TMT and I only play bluray (and occasionally HDDVDs).

Sure I can post my config, but it is really not hard to get it to running with pdvd and TMT. The "new" version is much built to get it running for blurays with tmt/pdvd so I suggest you just give it a try. I dont have access to my HTPC with the config right now, but if you cant get it running Ill be happy to post the config in a few days.

The 1.8.3.0 version is almost perfect. Get stuck in.

Ok, I've been trying to get the new version of Reclock working for a few days now without luck. Can someone post their settings?

I'm using PowerDVD and TMT for bluray and HDDVD playback.

Chris.

Do you even need reclock for non-pal sources?....Perhaps I don't even fully understand what it does.

As far as I'm concerned...you NEED reclock. Perhaps you're not sensitive to timing errors, but they're probably there.

Need is maybe a big word here Smile . But I at least WANT it for all sources to make sure I get rid of all tearing/stuttering. Try it, I see a big difference with and without reclock (even though I have "correct" refresh rates and a HTPC that can handle HD without problem).

Need more info.

Are you having trouble getting it to load?

Or getting it to work once loaded?

The best place to ask is the reclock forum Smile

I just built a vista pc and installed PowerDvd and I don't see the reclock icon in the taskbar..it just ain't there.

I have Kmplayer installed, and reclock works with that without issue...

I am only using .ts files right now though...perhaps that's a factor?

I tried to edit the advanced settings to force it to load with powerdvd.exe...but no luck. At leas, the icon ain't on the taskbar. With my ati based motherboard, the pic is much better in powerdvd with hardware accel enabled....really nice! I can't wait to see it on the projector...
