These three movies are out today on Blu-ray (links edited to support the forum as requested):
Death Proof (Weinstein)
The Third Man (1949) (The Criterion Collection)
The Man Who Fell To Earth
I've seen the third (Bowie) movie, but not the others. Still, I am thinking of ordering all three. The Third Man and The Man Who Fell To Earth are from Criterion collection. Opinions on any of these films?

I would like to have the 2 hours of my life back spent watching Death Proof. Is was like watching a bad 70's drive-in movie. I'am sure it is considered "artistic" but I didn't get it.

It was a 2000's A movie made to look like a 70's B. I'm not sure I would watch it a second time.

You can also add Planet Terror to that list as it is also released today. It's the companion release to Death Proof. I'm not sure how to do the links back to this site so I will leave that up to you WanMan if you so choose. I liked both of these movies as they are exactly what Tarrintino set out for them to be. Campy B-Movies in the old drive-in tradition.

They are supposed to be campy b-movies from the 70s kind of overdone. You said, "Is was like watching a bad 70's drive-in movie." Actually, the proves you did "get it". 
It is really targeted at those that sort of have fond memories of watching those bad movies. If you don't have a romanticized vision of that, then these are not for you. In the end, I'm with you--they are crap. There is enough crap 70s movies out there if you want to watch that--the world didn't need two more.
