Hello Everyone. It's been awhile, But........ Quick questiuon for those in the know: How important is it to "burn in" new tubes after installation and what does it entail (this is for a Marquee 8500). Thanx Very Much.

I was told by various sources that brand new tubes need no such thing, VDC rebuilds however are a different story

Hmmmmmm. Thanx Gary, I do appreciate your input; That's interesting then, provided that they are not rebuilds.

Id still be carefull and wait for either Curt or Tim to chime in. Id put on a low full field IRE like 10 or 20 and run it at a low contrast for a few hours then slowly ramp up
the IRE a level or two. Look on one of the threads about tubular outlet I think Curt described a similar method.
