I guess I need an HTPC again...a couple of quick questions.

Are the Acer pc's with on board ati graphics a good option to run 1080i at 72Hz? Or would I need an Nvidia solution?

Vista or XP? DOes it matter anymore? And my question is purely regarding video, I could care less about anything else in the OS? I suppose I might need to run powerstip, which if I recall, was a nightmare on Vista.

In summary, I suppose I'd like gamma control, perhaps 48Hz ability, and 1080i 72Hz, would an Acer fit the bill for me?

That is a pretty general question. Do you have a specific computer in mind? What are the specs?

ati 2100 onboard video... nothing else should really matter, right?

Cpu is fine, ram is fine, memory is fine...onboard sound is fine...

Probably just downloaded content...which may include some form of Blu-ray stuff. I guess I'd continue to use my PS3 for Blu-Ray
