I'm playing with a Runco DTV-991 (which looks like a NEC XG except for a backlit Runco badge on the back... XG75, right?)

In the menu I selected [ADJUST]... 8) Option... 1) Setting Mode... PJ Orientation: FLOOR/FRONT... Enter... Yes?... ENTER

But whether I choose FLOOR/FRONT or FLOOR/REAR, the menu text is still mirrored/backwards (but upright, as expected).

When I choose CEILING/FRONT or CEILING/REAR, the menu text switches to upside down (as expected), but it isn't mirrored even when I toggle between FRONT and REAR.

What am I missing?

Errr...Clarence...how do the tubes look in that XG? I mean Runco.

0794 hours on the counter. I've never seen a cleaner projector. Cool Thumbs Up

Some visible wear on the G... typical NEC OOTB small raster usage based on factory settings. No visible wear on R&B. I'd rate them as 9/8/9.

Oh, keep me in mind if you part it out later. I think I have a spotkill on my red tube. Thumbs Down

This one's too beautiful to part out... you know how some projectors just have a little more magic when you first turn it on. What's that Cadillac commercial.. when you turn your car on, does it return the favor.

Instead of messing with the buyer's market, I was planning on giving it away and setting it up for my brother-in-law, niece, and nephew. But now they're selling their house.

Yeah, I haven't been able to give away my other XG, though I haven't actually tried that yet.

Clarence, if you continue to tinker with that unit and need gamma adjustment, etc., let me know and I would be glad to send you my RTC2200 and HD Fury for testing. It's the least I could do considering all of the help you have given me. Then again, I'm sure you have plenty of toys for experimenting but just thought I would offer in case you need them.
