Is it consistent, where it almost always dims after 15 minutes or so? How long of shut down before pic comes back bright?


I changed a lot of caps on vidéo board. Before, red tube was running but after brightness decreasing, there's no picture, no menu. After changing caps, no red on test pattern, brightness decreasing after few seconds, but menu is always running. If someone have any idea ?

I have seen this twice. Each time replacing the VIDEO board cured it. I still do not know what causes it. I have also replaced bad caps on Video boards with no results. I "think" it has something to do with the DAC chip on the Video board, but never had the time or desire to pursue it.
