Top end picture quality always costs money. I figure it'll still be several years before a good LED based DLP projector hits the used market at prices comparable to a clean 9500LC Ultra today. (Call it 7000 dollars or less.)
The LED projectors should have VERY long service lifespans. The low heat level from the cool LEDs means that the optical cores won't
bake quickly and lose their color purity.
I do expect to see LED projectors last long enough to compare to the lifespans of well treated CRT projectors. All I'm concerned about
is the lifespan of certain electrolytic capacitors, and the cooling fans.
