I can't think of one spray-bomb color that looks worse then gold. Even hot pink beats it

Thanks for the positive, er generally positive comments guys ( yes its a Ampro I like them though!) , not sure who tweaked this or even owned it Curt as i only dealt with the guys packing it who was great but not the owner directly, as for Sam Runco
I doubt I am that lucky!
As for Chip being jealous nah us Ampro lovers are very chilled out well wisher type guys usually and as he said he has at 4 waiting to be built. Spaeking of i just cleaned it Chip and its even more hold now the little dust is gone of! should I paint then lenses black or try and get the gold paint of?
AnalogRocks whats a PP?
emdawgz1, thanks for the comments I guess once its up and running it will need some gold trimmings to let me get a award ?
seriously though I really want to at least get the colored c elements een though they will triple the price of the pj.
CZ Eddie it was pure luck indeed, I initially thought i was going to be scammed but things worked out so far.
Heywood Jablome yup its from Reno and yes I will clean it lol, if its fine I will leave it alone though learned my lesson from last time.
Hot pink, no thanks Chip lol i think I can live with gold for now.
I will test it out later this week, thanks guys.

Nice buy though, even if you don't "suck"

I'm pretty sure a 9 incher that will easily do 1080P qualifies.......... |
I never got a you suck when I got the 9500LC from GovLiquidation for 900 bucks, I dont think Heywood got one either,
He got the other one.

900 is a great price, did you guys actually manage to check them before hand ? I know some people got pjs from GL but the tube necks were snapped etc, i just could not risk shipping from them and discovering that i have been tempted to bid for them before though, congratulations sir, not sure why but I thought you had a Ampro?

Thanks, I guess I'll take that as a you suck lol. I actually drove down to get it. It was for another member here, Bruce, and I agreed to drive down to get it.
Cost about 300-400 cant remember but it was retro unit also I have the RP cabinet for it, scratched screen . The PJ is mint, mint tubes and very clean inside no dust at all, not even on the LVPS fan blades, either it was well maintained or just not used much.
And No , I never had an Ampro just keep saying how i wanted one from my first time looking for a CRT.

i wanted a Ampro because i saw one at a show years ago in the london Olympia or one of the electronics shows we have here, I am talking 10 years ago maybe probably more I lost track of time and years a while ago, it was a 4600 hd as well, once I sort this out I really want to get a pair of Infinity rs 1 or IRS but for now I have to focus on the visual stuff.
I hope you are happy with the Marquee they sell for a lot in the UK!

My 9501LC is getting a LOT of exercise, flying up and down while I finalize the mount (and BOY are my arms tired!) It was $938 IIRC, and I drove over 1000 miles round trip to get it (yes, a Marquee chassis will fit in the trunk of a VW Jetta!)
Also RP, also with a horribly scratched screen. The benefit of the RP was VERY controlled environment: Clean, cosmetically perfect, large well-squared rasters, low contrast and brightness so the tubes are in about 8.5/10 condition.

Good Deal Incova! You've come a long way with your Ampros. I saw that auction and was hoping it would stay low for the winner. I couldn't believe it was you. Did you ever get a good HD pattern generator? Now you'll need one.

where have you been sir, great to see you, I couldn't believe it was me either, I really thought ok now I get to be scammed I could not see anyone talking about it on any forums or anything so i thought its probably a fake ad.
I did get a hd level pattern generator again from the U.S, this one is a Quantum Data 902 i never got the chance to use it as I left the ampro 4300 until I got spare parts for it to help diagnose it, this is the thread I started a long time ago for it hopefully I get to use it on the 4600 hd.

Ok i seemed to have confused a lot of you guys in North America when I asked what fuse needed to go into the plug and was told a 5 amp fuse should go into the voltage switch thing at the back of the Ampro 4600, I replaced those as soon as I got the pj they had two 10 amp fuses in there, so i put two 5 amp fuses in. Now this is what caused the confusion.
In the right of the picture you will see the plug has a fuse in it, i am assuming you guys do not have fuses in North American plugs thus the communication recall.
To any Ampro 4600 owners out there, does your ampro also have 2 fuses in the voltage switch thing at the back? it does state in the manual 2 10 amp or 5 amp fuses so I assume you have.

Ohh yeah I forgot about the UK's plugs. Over here we are just wired strait through to the pins with no fuses. If that's a single fuse and the Ampro need 2-5 amp then wouldn't that be a single 10 amp?

there were two 10 amp fuses in there mate so I just replaced them with two 5s i guess it shouldn't matter if I use a high fuse in the plug as the pj has its own fuses.

I am pretty sure that the barco by-laws state that
"no ampro owner will be designated with a you sucketh"
the the "you suck" is commonly replaced with a "you stupido" to better reflect the reality of the projector.
With that said - nice price on some donor tubes..................
