I just acquired a Zenith Pro881xr projector. The guy I bought it from had it mounted on the ceiling, but I plan to use it mounted on the floor. The projector still thinks it is mounted on a ceiling, even after I've repeatedly tried to change it through the menu. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

You need to change internal jumpers. Can't remember how it's done, I haven't worked on an 881 for a long time. I do have one here, and will post it in the Zenith 880 info page, but it won't happen until the holidays most likely.
The 880 manual here might tell you:

Remember to power the projector OFF before changing jumpers and disconect the AC cord while you're at it.

What do the internal jumpers look like? And where would I find them?
Sorry, I'm new to all this.

Download that manual and have a read. It may be similar to the 881. There will be a section in there on how to set the projector for floor/celieing use.
Let us know when you find it.

Could these be the jumpers? I haven't swapped them over yet because I'm not sure.
They're labeled 7B9F, 7G9F and 7R9F, so maybe.

Actually never mind. I was just looking at the image I posted and noticed the cables are all attached to the "7*9C" side, while the other side says "7*9F" which I just realized must stand for ceiling and floor. Thanks for the help.

Did you ever figure this out? I've switched 3 jumpers and flipped one switch. The screen is right side up, however it seems the front/rear isn't set correctly because it looks like you are looking out the tv screen. Everything is rightside up but backwards.
Any help would be fantastic.
Thanks

This guess is a shot in the dark but what happens if you flip the switch back OR switch the three jumpers? I'm guessing you only needed to do one or the other as one set of controls sets floor/celing orientation and the other is for RP/FP.

All I've done is switch the jumpers that I post in the image above. Now the picture is correct for floor mounting, but now it is set for behind-the-screen showing, and the edges warp inward a bit too.
