Glad it worked out for you Willaim. I wish more of us would stumble upon a deal like this.

Can't wait to see it. ( or NOT see it as it were )

Got lucky, and noticed this thread again in the nick of time. Payment made for the remaining 18'.

Cool, this means with the room lights off (and other ambient light sources under control, you should now have a new visual reference for 'Black'.

Well, since you can't actually see real honest-to-goodness genuine black, that's gonna be very interesting to pull off......

All of the Flockstar blackout material has been sold. Let the thread know (like I did) what you all do with your material. Smile

Mine's going to go on some panels that I use to make my 3 front speakers disappear. I'll take pics once I get it all set up!

Welll, nuts. I finally got a chance to cut & mount mine. My plan was to just stick it on my blackout cloth screen, which is a few inches larger than I need. I cut the material, stuck it on, hung it up, looked great. Two days later almost all of the Flockstar had peeled off. Sad

I suspect the BO is too rubbery for it to stick properly.

So I guess the next step is to get some kind of moulding or something, build a frame, tack it to the screen, and hope the Flockstar sticks to raw wood OK. William (or anyone else), have you had any trouble with it coming off? What did you stick it to?

Dear Gary;

Yes, heat seems to make this stuff peel off. I had lots of trouble with individual pieces falling off off the ceiling (and even the walls). I ended up using tacks with black heads to tack the material to the drywall.

William

Well, mine never got hot, but it sounds like yours probably didn't either. So I'll have to build a frame, wrap it with Protostar and staple it on the back. Hope I have enough left to do that.
