Corner focus is over rated. How often do you actually stare at the corners while watching movies? Even our EYES don't see clear in the corners.
That being said, it will improve with the additional control that the plus chassis provides.

I'm with you. Once I turned off the focus test pattern all was good.
BTW, when you get ready to mount this thing, make sure you have some help. I rented a Genie lift, and it was one of the smartest things I ever did. The 10PG is a LOT heavier than my 9PGxtra. I also don't think I would trust mounting it with unistrut using the holes for the rubber feet like some have done with other PJs. I'd use a NEC mount, or at least the holes specifically intended for the mount.

A whole lot of the PG10's weight is in those metal and glass lenses.

I haven't messed with the thing in a few days and getting back to it today, while setting up another resolution, while adjusting the keystone I believe, the thing fritzed out, shut off, and continued to turn on and shut off almost immediately until I just unplugged it. Excellent........

Did you max out the horizontal size? Do any of the LED's light on the deflection board? Any code on the back display?
Possible usual suspects are the H-out transistor, C-drive, MAYBE F-drive, and a possible blown diode in the power supply.
One thing at a time, what LED's light on the DEF board. And do NOT let it turn on and off longer than needed to see this. If the H-out is shorted, this will burn out the B+ diode in the power supply. If you have a meter, read the HOT across all 3 legs in all combinations. If you get 0 ohms anywhere, the HOT is shorted. Not the end of the world, but often caused by too wide a raster.
Great excuse to upgrade it to a plus chassis.

I'm not home now and I don't remember off the top of my head, but there was definitely a red indicator light in the center of the deflection board. The H width was on the high side but not maxed out digitally or on the deflection board. I've had little time to mess with it much more since then but hopefully will get to it in the next couple of days with Thanksgiving break. I set the Barco 1208s/E up again for the time being and it's a great picture. Probably almost as sharp as the NEC but totally lacking in the punch and color depth of the NEC.
