Woot.com has a Memorex BluRay player for $139 plus $5 shipping. I don't know anything about the player but the price seems right.

Previous memorex devices have been crappy Chinese rebrands. I'm not sure I'd risk on anything but a second or third one. Smile

On the plus side, if you were looking for a blue laser diode it might be a cheaper source Wink

Good price, but I think I would rather have a used BD30 for $40 more.

Oops, it's not the Memorex that WalMart was going to start selling, but a Magnavox Blu-ray player for $128.

Then why not just buy a cheaper diode?

Went ahead and bought one of these for $146 shipped and so far really like it for the price ! Build quality is nice. 5.1 audio output along with coaxial and optical outputs. Easy setup and menus. The remotes not bad.

Unfortunately the price went up but Target still has it for $169. Time will tell how reliable it is and of course it's made in China for Memorex.....

P.S. Loads in about 35-40 seconds after turning on.

The Panasonic 35 is $199, Samsung BDP-1500 $219, and Sony BX1 $227 at Costco warehouse near me today. They also have a Philips online for $199. Last weekend I grabbed the Sony for $187.
