|
|
After adding the red c to the 9500 I did a full calibration and also checked the Gamma values...
Since it is not very clear what the best moome gamma setting might be...I tried 4 options....potmeter min-max and remote min-max....and indeed it showed a boost in Gamma for the lower IRE (checked this by using the Accupel calculator (that starts with the 100% value and calculates all lower gamma Y values.
Well....in the less sensitive boost setting there is still a boost and when the low IRE has gamma 2.5-ish...the top range dives just below gamma 2....
And I dont like it
Is there ANYway to kick this gamma boost off? Remove the add-on pcb?
There is also a second potentiometer on the board...what's the purpose of that one?
Without this boost I want to add a couple of notches in the gamma setting of pstrip and that should get the total gamma right on track.
Any experience on this?

On his previous stuff, the solution IS to remove the daughterboard and jumper the signal in pin to its' mating out pin. This can be done with old hard disk 100mil spacing jumpers.
Don't know about newer stuff, but my Gen1 ISS moome card was this way. I can look at the one in my marquee too.

IIRC there was an FAQ on this in the PDFs for each product.
