Did you get the urge to re-check your grascale while watching this movie or is it just me. To me it looks like old faded yellow filmstock. It's the only BD movie I have that looks this way.

I think I remember reading in a review somewhere, where the reviewer also commented on this. Except, I think he listed it as a positive, that it was meant to give the movie a sense of grandeur or something, with gold light shining everywhere.

The reviewer was a Spielberg fanboi, obviously!
Have not seen this myself, hope to when all is running again.

AFAIC, It's best to pretend this movie was never made.

I just picked it up today and I noticed something seemed odd as well. I would not say that it looks terrible but it will certainly make you take a second look at your brightness and contrast settings. I noticed that yellowish hue right away. I have not watched the whole disc yet but just scanned through it quickly. I enjoyed the movie in the theater although it should have been so much better. Oh well, it would be hard to top the original for me and I'm sure we will be seeing the whole series on a new Blu Ray box set or two or three or four...

I think it looked a little yellowish. Still a very enjoyable film but plot was predictable, not the best of the series but still lots of fun.

Hang on, I have it, but haven't watched it. Let me have a quick look.
Ok, I flipped through a bunch of it and yeah, it's got that 5 Am sunrise shine to everything. I think it looks ok, but I can see why everyone was concerned.
I can't wait to watch it all the way through now. Looks like a good ride.

I watched the short (thankfully) making-of segment after the movie. It was mostly banter from speilberg and lucas about what they wanted to do wit hthe movie and it really spelled out why the movie had a pot luck dinner feel to it. It was like they looked at a bunch of left-over ideas sitting in the fridge, picked out which ones to re-hash, and then randomly sprinkled some seasoning on top to mask the taste of 5 day old old food.
AFA imagination and creativity there was basically none, just repalce Nazi's with russians and the same old car chases, Indian's, blow guns, ancient ruins, etc. Oh and video quality was awful, i don't know about the BR but the reg DVD suffered from a HORRIBLE out of focus picture, never mind the yellow filter. I hope spielberg and Lucas stop making movies, either together or seperately.
The one thing that really surprised me was Harrison Ford jumping around and clambering over wooden crates at age 65 , that old man is in amazing shape.

I'm an Indiana Jones fan, so I'm sure it will be as hokey as the others, but whole lot of fun anyways. Based on the premise, I'll probably like it more than Temple of Doom. Wasn't the biggest fan of that one.

Theres no way TOD and KCS are on the same level. Just because there are no nazis, doesnt mean that its a poor Indiana Jones film.

I have to agree with chip. Tod was not very good. There were some really good lines in it, but overall it's on the bottom of the pile for me. I guess KCS was better for me because the effects have improved so much. I thought it was a great thrill ride. Keep in mind I don't watch any movie like this expecting the plot or story to hold any water. I just want to be entertained, which KCS did.
