I have two HDMI sources switched by a Mono Price HDMI switcher, feeding a HD Fury. Whenever I switch from one HD source to another, it takes about 8-9 seconds to get a image. I'm curious what kind of times others are getting with other equipment. I think I can solve the problem by ditching the HDMI switcher, add another HD Fury and let my NEC switcher do the switching. More expense. How long do you wait for your equipment to be polite?

Chip, I have a Monoprice HDMI switch, between sources and an HD Fury 1. I don't think it takes more than a second or two to switch between PS3, Toshiba XA1, and DirecTV HR23.

What are your sources?

PS3 and Fios HD receiver. Path is as follows Fios or PS3 to HDMI switcher inputs 1 and 2>HD Fury> directly connected to a Box 1020>NEC 6010 switcher>Best friggin CRT projector in the world Wink
All the switching takes place in less than 2 seconds but it seems the HDCP "handshake" is taking a extended amount of time. My thought was if I had two Furys and switched the RGBHV outputs rather than the HDMI inputs, switching at the NEC would be only a small fraction of the time as there would be continuous handshaking as long as the whole system is powered up.
